What they do
Virtual reality appears to be a promising and motivating platform for safely practicing and rehearsing social skills in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). However, the literature to date has limitations in elucidating the effectiveness of these virtual reality interventions.
We offer "Serious Games" and therapeutic exercises, usable in simple immersion mode (without a VR headset) or total immersion mode (with a VR headset) coupled with a motion capture system that allows the patient's movements to be translated in real time into the virtual world. This system allows the therapist to assess and rehabilitate patients in real time, adapting and adjusting the exercises during sessions according to the patient's progress. The patient can then practice at the therapist's office or at home while receiving remote assistance.
