A major global player in fermentation for over a century and a leading economic force in the Hauts-de-France , Lesaffre , with €2.2 billion in revenue and operations on every continent, has signed a partnership with Plaine Images. Building on this experience and diversity, the group collaborates with customers, partners, and researchers to find increasingly relevant solutions to the needs of nutrition, health, naturalness, and respect for our environment. Every day, Lesaffre explores and reveals the infinite potential of yeast and microorganisms.
Feeding 9 billion people healthily by 2050 while using the planet's resources as efficiently as possible is a major and unprecedented challenge.
The partnership also aims to provide Lesaffre teams with innovative methodologies inspired by practices in the world of start-ups: lean start-up, design thinking, etc.

“This partnership is a true recognition of the work we have been doing for the past 10 years to build a unique ecosystem in Europe. It also demonstrates the ability of companies and expertise from the creative and entertainment industries to infuse industrial activities with innovation and creativity.”
emphasizes Emmanuel Delamarre, Director of Plaine Images
“Since 2019, Plaine Images has already helped us identify startups with innovative solutions. It’s a source of inspiration and creativity, allowing us to showcase our expertise and keep up with emerging trends. This partnership allows us to strengthen our ties with a key player in local innovation.”
explains Antoine Baule, CEO of Lesaffre
Several companies within the Plaine Images ecosystem are already collaborating with Lesaffre, and the group has taken advantage of Plaine Images' unique setting and its network of inspiring experts for internal seminars. For example, the Microbiota Days event, a two-day symposium dedicated to the microbiota, welcomed international experts and the group's researchers. Lesaffre chose Plaine Images to host the event, which was held entirely in the Imaginarium, an iconic building within the ecosystem (learn more about event rentals at Plaine Images).
